- I ACTUALLY LOVE THIS SONG. i mean obviously i was always going to because i have stockholm's when it comes to snsd, but they excerpted the chorus for the teasers and the chorus is my least favorite part of the song so i was really worried that it would suck? AND THEN IT DIDN'T. except for the chorus. i am just not a fan of the way kpop does "rap" and sme especially needs to stay the fuck away.
- EVERYONE LOOKS SO GOOD!!! especially yuri omg *____* and i'm surprisingly fond of taeyeon's pink hair? it threw me at first but i warmed up to it really quickly. the only real complaint i have is sunny's hair, which is depressing because normally i am all for girls with short hair. i mean she obv works it because she is sunny and that is what she DOES but, idk, i'm not really feeing it. i think the more i watch it the more i'll like it though. it did look good at the end when it was all tousled and in her face. i think maybe the problem is that when she's not dancing it looks shellacked onto her head? IDK THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS SO I'LL STOP.
- THE DANCE BREAK!! HYOYEON IN FRONT!!!! AND THEN SOOYOUNG!!!! LOTS OF EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!!
- lol can we talk about sme's pathological dependence on their 360 camera
- I REALLY REALLY LIKE WHEN THEY SAY "BRING THE BOYS OUT"
- the beginning part (DA BOYZ DA BOYZ DA BOYZ DA BOYZ) is also great! idk i'm pretty much in love with how everything starts, and i think for the most part the song manages to keep up the energy all the way through.
- OMG I JUST REGISTERED THAT TIFFANY IS THE ONE WEARING THE HAT & CUTOUT BODYSUIT AT THE END, HNNNNG
- IDK, I WAS UP REALLY LATE LAST NIGHT SO I'M NOT REALLY COHERENT (when am i ever) BUT BASICALLY I'M SURPRISED BY HOW MUCH I ENJOY THIS?? i mean i have my usual complaints (SOMEDAY THEY WILL HAVE A MV WITH A STORY) but overall i really like it!
- i haven't watched the english version yet though, should i be nervous?

THIS IS ME AND EVERY. SINGLE. SM. GROUP. although usually I don't even need it with snsd because their songs are just that perfect. I know this song is technically horrible but parts of it are growing on me. and their voices sound great!! other than in the..."chorus".

ugh that 360 camera. honestly the sm "formula" for making music videos doesn't bother me all that much (although yes, more story mvs please!) but that camera does not make the mvs look any better, guys.

the english lyrics are beyond horrible (not as bad as boa's eat you up but still they're not good) but other than a few slip ups the girls' english is surprisingly good. that and their vocals kind of redeem the lyrics, at least when I'm listening to it and not paying attention :\

sme makes the sort of unapologetically guilty pleasure music that i can't get enough of :( like their most ~musically advanced~ group is probably dbsk and that is just...lol. although snsd's japanese album was surprisingly great! but yeah anyway i already like everything about this song except the chorus, and in like two days it won't even bother me any more :|

all sm mvs consist of a bunch of pretty people dancing around being pretty, which i am okay with! but they get repetitive after a while (see: super junior) and i'd like to see them experiment more. just not with the 360 camera. it's gotten to the point where it's just hilarious. i think the only time it was actually effective was in "lucifer" and that's because that was the first time we'd seen it.

my favorite part is when yoona's all WE AIM FOR MORE THAN ZERO!!! well.....yeah. why would you aim for zero? that's pretty ineffective.

I actually think dbsk and shinee's music is legit, but even then it goes from greatness to album filler nonsense. and ugh snsd's japanese album I can't even coherently talk about it. and yeah same here I'm already getting used to the bad parts of the boys :|

ugh suju's stuff/mvs after 2009 I can't even talk about them :| and yeah I cackled when the 360 camera reared its ugly head in hello because...what else can you do. sigh.

SERIOUSLY. I mean bruno mars if nothing else has proved americans can tolerate banal shit lyrics but I hope poor yoona doesn't know how silly her line is.

i really like when shinee does r&b so their first album was great for me, but i'm not really in love with their electronic sound. like it's fun to listen to but i don't think i've purposely put on lucifer since like the month after it came out. i'm not really familiar enough with dbsk's music to say much (THEIR DISCOGRAPHY IS INTIMIDATING OKAY) but i tend towards liking most of it. the problem is that all of their really good songs are ballads and i'm not really a ballad person so....... but all i really want is an a capella album from them :(

i always feel bad for the americans having to sing these silly english lyrics. well, okay, i think tiffany's probably fine with it, she's kind of adorable that way. but jessica probably judges the fuck out of their songwriters. lol and seohyun probably hates them too.

At the same time I really miss the days when I was not so stockholmed that I could objectively listen to SNSD songs of albums and not just be like "I shouldn't like this!!!! BUT I DO!!" I kept hoping I would hate an album song but nope :( Idk if that means it was good or if it means I have ZERO JUDGEMENT LEFT :(

I really loved the dance break though and omg they are so pretty and just omg, basically.

i feel like the only way it could be funnier is if it were, like, seohyun singing.

i didn't like the ballads, but i never like ballads so that wasn't surprising. but yeah, songs like "sunflower" and "say yes" and FUCKING "VITAMIN" ughhhhhh what happened to my standards

i'm weirdly into the english version, idek!! the english is a lot less horrific than i thought it would be, like it's not great but i am a person who loves boa's english album, so. i am not even a little bit phased by engrish and lame lyrics at this point. and i'm not super into sunny's hair either :/ it looks fine but not GREAT. i love taeyeon's pink extensions though!

I WISH I WAS AT A POINT WHERE I COULD BE LIKE "LOL 360 CAMERA" but tbh i'm still stuck at "LOL SM STOP", every time i see it i get a little twitchy. it doesn't even look good! STOP IT!

but yeah basically i am RIDICULOUSLY STOCKHOLMED, when i first saw the mv i wasn't SUPER into it but now I AM, and i love the album too! i can't even tell if it's better than their usual filler fare or if i've just lost all credibility, but yeah. it's all so good!!

i'm glad sunny was the one to get short hair at least, she could wear a paper bag on her head and still work it. also, is it a wig? because it definitely looks like a wig and i'm pretty sure i've seen her recently with long hair, but it'd be exciting if they actually did cut it that short. and YES TAEYEON, her hair just keeps getting better imo.

I LIKE HOW STOCKHOLMED IS BECOMING A THING. but yeah i've only listened to the album once but it's actually pretty good. still a lot of bubblegum pop but trick and oscar are more reminiscent of their japanese electronic sound so i'm happy enough. and even the pop tracks are pretty good for what they are! idk, i never really liked that sort of music (which is why it took me forever to get into snsd in the first place) and then somehow my brain got tricked into enjoying it and i've never looked back :|

I LOVE THE SONG TOO. i mean, yeah, SNSD STOCKHOLMS ME TOO but the song is kind of great? i mean, it's right up my alley except for the chorus as you stay (and don't make them rap!! i love my wannabe!gangsta!tiffany, but still, NO)

i do kind of adore sunny's hair because um she looks really hot (idk whyyy but she keeps reminding me of narsha not that i'm complaining). also yeah the 360 camera lmaooo they kept emphasizing it in the press releases, they were all ooh look we're going to have matrix technique and phantom flex camera and just, lol sme, lol. i kind of think the album sucks but maybe i just had way too high expectations after their awesome japanese album.

she reminds me of narsha too!! omg now i want narsha/sunny short hair porn *___* and lol i feel like the sme execs just masturbate to pictures of the 360 camera, their use of it is bordering on the obscene. and i've kind of learned not to expect much from the korean albums. i'm glad that at least some of their songs have the same sort of electronic sound though, and i feel like "the boys" is kind of testing out that sound in korea too? like they still have all their staple bubblegum pop songs, but they seem to be taking baby steps towards a more mature image/sound.

REMEMBER WHEN THERE WAS THAT RUMOR GOING AROUND ABOUT LESBIAN VAMPIRES IN THE NEW MV? man that would have been great.

Lol I totally have Stockholm's with all SM groups. Except maybe Suju, because I don't like most of their songs.

I DO wish the choreo was better...

it's strongest with dbsk and snsd for me, probably because i like the people in those groups the best lol. but yeah super junior just has shitty music at this point and it's not like most of the group members can redeem that.

i actually like the choreo! although i have a weakness for hair-flipping so i am not the best judge really.
