mistersthere has been a recurring image in my dreams lately of leaving on a boat to go somewhere. the "somewhere" is always someplace different (I think; I only realized when I woke up this morning that I've had probably three or four of these dreams now), and I'm not sure it I always leave from the same place or not. really everything is always different except that I am leaving to go somewhere on this white boat that's more like a ferry than anything, even though it's going somewhere pretty far away (i.e. longer than ferries generally go)...it's an open-air boat, and there are usually like 20ish people on it, all wearing white (lol I think they're all wearing stuff similar to what DBSK wears in the "Picture of You" MV). and the ship has just returned from a long voyage (I feel like it's a big ship that is also open-air? like a traditional ship combined with a ferry or something), so they have to change it somehow to make it able to take all these people to the other place, and it always does this rocking/spinning thing. I've both watched this happen from the shore and been on the boat when they do it; first it rocks from side to side really steeply, and then it spins once or twice and you just have to hold on. it's not dangerous at all, just sort of...unsettling? idk, I'm not disturbed by it in the dream, I just sort of accept that that's the way it is. and then I always say goodbye to whomever else was in my dream (I'm always doing something, like going on some adventure or something before I have to go) and leave. right after we pull away from the dock, I wake up.
in my most recent dream, I was with an older man helping him find something? like birds (another recurring image in my (generally more disturbing) dreams) or fruit (or some sort of round thing, I think)...I think I had to climb trees at some point. we were on some warm tropical islandy thing (um I think that's how it usually is, but I could be wrong) too and I was going to someplace with a made-up name (I assume, I've never heard of it irl), and I remember thinking "Haiti" multiple times, but I can't remember now if it was in reference to the place I was in or the place I was going to. and then once I'd helped him (or tried to, at least, not sure how successful I was) I left on the boat.
it's not a particularly disturbing or happy dream or anything, it's just something that's happening to me. since it's been in quite a few dreams now I get the feeling that it's significant, but I have no idea how to interpret it. I'll probably message it to Molly haha.
