I am so jealous that 1. you know your schedule and 2. you get to skip second year language. Do you know your professors?

Dominican/Haitian Am. Lit.—Staff
College Colloquium—P. Wogan
Japanese—M. Fujiwara
Taoism—Zhou, Xijuan

do you not know your schedule yet?

Ahahaha enjoy Wogan's class, I hear he's a trip. I was talking to someone last semester who was in his class, and it started/ended 10 minutes late every day because that's when the prof thought the class was and nobody bothered to correct him.

Eh, I kind of ish know my schedule, considering tweaking it. But when I did opening days I didn't know my colloquium until I got to the classroom, and we didn't get our schedules until two days later :/

lol like a million years late but omg an entire class devoted to Taoism? Jealous!! Last fall my East Asian History professor talked about it briefly and it was so interesting. I'd love to take a class on it.

lol I only posted it yesterday :D but yeah, ever since reading The Tao Of Pooh I've been really interested. idk that I would have taken it if there had been other classes available (my registration has been really fucked up so I missed the opportunity to register for a lot of the classes I wanted to take), but I'm glad I am now.

Registration is so frustrating and stressful sometimes ugh D: But yeah, Taoism is really fascinating, I think you'll enjoy the class, especially if you're kind of a world religions geek like me ;;;; I might see if I can find that book in my city library, it looks good. :o

I am a huge world religions geek. religion is endlessly fascinating to me, even though I'm not religious lol.

it's a really great book, and very simple and cute. and it makes you see Pooh in a totally new way :o

lol that's basically me. every time my professor for east asian history lectured on religions/belief systems in ancient China and Japan, I would get all starry-eyed and giddy idek.

lmao I adore Pooh as it is, so I'll probably love it. :'D

are you only interested in [east] asian religions? because I have a really fantastic book on religion in America (focused mainly on hoodoo, rootwork, wicca, etc.) that I pimp out to anyone who will listen lol.

I'm fascinated by pretty much every religion under the sun lol. What's the book called? :D

Not In Kansas Anymore, by Christine Wicker. (she also wrote a book about Lily Dale, which is a town haunted by ghosts.) it is just...orgasmic idek. lol but I really learned so much stuff and it's what inspired me to do world religions as my Extended Essay topic for IB.

I'd be shocked if we weren't, given that there's only one third-year class.

I am excited to take it :O you should read The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, it's a Dominican book that made me go OMG YES when I saw that class lol. (I can lend it to you on Thursday if you want? EMMA IS INVITED TO THAT BY THE WAY, idk if I told you.)

I am eating chocolate mochi right now. be jealous.

Oh. Well, registration was so hectic for me I hardly paid attention to anything but getting signed up.

I would love to borrow it! I have heard good things.

JEALOUSY. Legitimate jealousy! There is nothing to eat in my house, baawww. I'm going shopping sometime soon (I hope. My stomach hopes).

I skipped sophomore English, so I have not. and I've always heard that it wasn't very good (although those reviews were from bitter high schoolers, so idk haha).

no problem :)

Also, because I have not commented enough, that schedule actually looks lovely to me. You have a nice lunch break, and having t/th like that actually isn't too terrible (ymmv obvs, but it was part of my favorite schedule ever).

haha that's good to know. and I noticed the lunch break thing too and was excited because I was worried that I'd have to be rushing all over campus and wouldn't be able to get anything to eat.
