ANALYSIS READY:
1. Dream!Eric is not woobie!Eric. Sookie thinks that she could still love him when he gets his memories back.
2. Author insertion. Apparently Alan Ball is an advocate for MFM threesomes?
3. I wonder how much of her loving Bill is from the blood and how much is ~unresolved feelings~ because this past episode it seemed like they were finally into amicable ex territory.
4. She shouldn't have woken up when she did, the guys were totally eyefucking each other.
5. Her look when she woke up says that this is something her subconscious came up with.
6. Did you notice her dress comes off a little more each time the camera cuts to her?
So I'm bullshitting a little because it was mostly monologue. And when they immediately realize it's a dream I think


I love Luna's parenting, and how she's teaching through her actions and is conscious of the impression she makes. This is also the Sam I love (although idg why anyone is still Team Sam wrt Sookie, they barely see each other anymore and have both moved on).

Another thing I liked about the Mavis storyline is that all those characters got to interact with people they normally don't. Like when's the last time Hoyt and Arlene saw each other? Has Jesus even been introduced to anyone else? But they're all in this crisis together and still clearly have their own motivations/stories behind them. Wrapped up really nicely, I think. Terry needs more screentime. And I love how Jesus isn't treated as less-than, or the butt of jokes, because he's a nurse. His emotional calming-skills and crisis-skills are what saved the day here and the "I need my Lafayette" drove that home. Idk maybe I just love cheesy overwrought scenes but that one was perfect for me.

Idk how I feel about Alcide right now, he's being kind of a jerk about Sookie but he's also doing a lot only for Debbie. I wonder if they fall into the close platonic friends category? But yeah, they're both trying but completely missing where the other one is.

The fucking in the truck cracked me up. Also what happened to Jason's morals from before where he kicked her out? I thought the music was coming from an advertisement until I paused several times, it just made no sense.


What's the betting that Bill doesn't run and instead stays around to make a scene?

SHE'S ONLY BEEN AROUND FOR A SEASON AND I'M ALREADY STANNING HER SO HARD. team luna forever. (iasfm on sookie/sam though, people seriously still ship them? i was tired of them halfway through the first season.)

it was perfect for me up until the glowy golden light, but i am really picky about my special effects sooo (lol i watched the doublemeat palace buffy ep a few hours ago and was like OH GOD THE RUBBER DEMON WHY). but yes, also stanning jesus! it's a pity that the supporting-supporting characters are so much more fleshed-out and realistic than the leads.

i just feel like they're trying to force this alcide/sookie thing when they have no chemistry (and never have tbh) for the sake of ~drama~. although i'm really proud of debbie, she's trying so hard to be the bigger person here. i'm wondering where they'll go with that v thing though.

I think that derp lj erased it the first time and I was retyping and obvs forgot a part. I think I was going to say that when they realize it's a dream immediately, it's less authentic in a way? Like they have some sort of control over it and so it's not clear character insight like it was before.

You mean the rubber not-at-all-dicklike demon? Yeahhhhhh that was not the best of episodes by a long shot. They really do not have a great track record with monsters - the poorly cgi'd mayor and snake-with-arms thing come to mind.

Jesus is like a quaternary character almost, since Lafayette was a tertiary character for a while. But they've been bumped up this season, so. I really think all the leads are mary sue's (especially shookeh, obvs). And in the seasons before this one the main triad was so clearly a buffy ripoff (and still, blond badass vamp is now a woobie with a soul and feelings so of course they are romantically compatible!) so they seemed even more one-dimensional. And you know what, the non-primary characters are just so much more interesting and LIKEABLE.

I think they had pre-chemistry but will never be in a position to act on it. Kind of like sam/sookie I guess.
