finally getting around to this, since I've seen it on like EVERYBODY'S journal.

STEP ONE

Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.


STEP TWO

Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use—or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not—it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. for my dad to get the house he bid on like three months ago. or another house, I'm not picky.

2. so I won two free months of tanning (and I can bring a friend, by the way, if anyone's interested? which I don't think anyone on here is lol), right. what I want is to be able to do this with my mom's consent. or without her knowledge. either way works, since I have no idea how to even bring this up to her without her going all >| on me.

3. I want a car. we have the truck but that is a fucking monster and I get anxious when I drive it and I hate it and I want my own, small car.

4. there's always my modcloth wishlist lol. (also in the sidebar, just fyi.) to be more general, I'd really like some cardigans/sweaters (M/L should work) and flats (9/9.5). and pretty jewelry!

5. I want DBSK to stay together :[

6. when I get a mix made for me I get all warm and fuzzy inside. um it could be a fandom mix or just a random one or something, idec. but if it were made with me in mind that would be awesome.

7. A NEW PHONE. I want the LG Xenon specifically, but anything is better than this piece of crap.

8. I really want a nice (fake) leather jacket. I've been lusting over them lately. the problem is that idk when/where I'd ever wear one, but it's always been one of those "someday!" things for me.

9. fic! I want fic! um I feel like my otps are super obvious but I can elaborate if you need it lol. it should be noted that I am a huge fan of het and femmeslash AND GENDERSWITCH OMG IF YOU WRITE ME GENDERSWITCH I WILL DIE HAPPY :DDD god my fetishes ;;

10. this in a strategically placed stocking, please and thank you.

Sorry, you have to have a form signed by your parent/guardian in front of them as long as you're under 18.
6. Okay this question is going to make me sound really stupid. But other than kpop, what do you tend to listen to (genre, upbeat, mellow, artists, male/female voices)? Anything that you really do not want?

6. lol it's not dumb, I never talk about other music. um I like pretty much everything except reggae and christian pop, but I don't think you'd have either of those anyway so.... I like really melodic music, electronica, things with a choir in them!, instrumental music (especially if it's piano-driven), acoustic guitar stuff.... vocalist-wise I like a huge variety, but I particularly love Iron & Wine, Kate Nash, broadway-type voices, Stabilo, Silversun Pickups, Regina Spektor, Roisin Murphy, CocoRosie, Andrew Bird, The Bird & The Bee.... it's really hard for me to define exactly what I like, sorry ;;

lyrics are also really important (almost moreso than the music), nothing really like crass or violent or anything. and sorry if this comment shows up weird, I'm writing this all out via my phone.

Okay, just wanted to get a good idea. It's really hard to define musical taste unless you only ever listen to one thing.

No worries on the lyrics :) Have you ever heard the Decemberists's 'Culling of the Fold' though? I ask because it's violent in weirdly catchy way.
