earlier today I tweeted (god I hate saying that) that I hate high school, and my mom just asked me why. I was like a) because it sucks and b) since when do you care? she's started this thing of trying to ~relate to me and I'm just like yeah you kind of missed the boat on that one.

Claire's incredible self-entitlement makes me want to punch her in the face. she was just complaining about how we do not get "emergency money" from Mom when she's gone (she's currently in Vegas for 4 days) and I was like "...but we have money."

CLAIRE: what money?
ME: the money from Dad? in the bank?
CLAIRE: no, I'm saying that Mom should give us money.
ME: why?
CLAIRE: because there might be an emergency!
ME: ......
CLAIRE: what if one of us got hurt? it costs a lot of money to take an ambulance!
ME: they do not charge you upon getting into the ambulance.
CLAIRE: but they bill you.
ME: yes. later. they bill you later.
CLAIRE: I don't think you understand what emergency money is.
ME: emergency money is like twenty bucks. that is not going to pay for an ambulance.
CLAIRE: but what if something else happens?
ME: you seem to be missing the key point where WE HAVE MONEY
CLAIRE: well I don't!
ME: [internally because at this point I am not going to continue to debate something this stupid] that is because you are wasteful.
CLAIRE: and I don't want to use Dad's money for something Mom should be providing for us.
ME: *HEAD EXPLODES*

every time she has a friend over she feels the need to start acting a) stupid and b) incredibly bitchy. that says something to me about her friends.

HELLO CHILDREN DID YOU MISS ME don't lie I know you didn't :( WELL I'M BACK NOW AND UPDATING YOU ON THE PAST THREE DAYS.

( I have high hopes that this entry will not just be stupid but idk what will happen because it is hot as hell here and I'm using a crap PC laptop that is kind of burning my palms and I'm too lazy to sit forward so I can type properly and the laptop doesn't actually MOVE so we'll see )

and that has been my week thus far!

additional notes: my dad's girlfriend (whom we still have not met, boo hiss) got him the really nice complete set of Calvin & Hobbes, so I've been reading that lately, and it's funny how I remember all the comics thus far (I'm halfway through the second book). like there hasn't been one yet that I was like WHOA I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE. quality work, that. also in "talk to you", that last thing Jonghyun says before the chorus? yeah, what is that? because it sounds like either "let me tickle it" or "let me take a leak," neither of which is particularly pleasant to imagine him doing.
